Writing to Heal: Letting Nature Take its Course is a writers workshop that liberally applies the balm of nature to our emotional wounds for healing through inspired writing. We have all been affected by illness, death, divorce, or career change and there is nothing like a trip to the woods to energize the healing process.
Writers of any persuasion - beginners, poets, diarists, novelists, songwriters, epic list makers - are encouraged to join Margaret Schiller for a hike throughout Limestone Ridge Preserve. We will be stopping at specific elements along the way to take notes and jot inspiration, before regrouping under the pavilion for lunch and an extended writing session. Writers will be encouraged to share their work with the other participants, though it is not required. The workshop is limited to 15 participants.
