Hike of the Month - Limestone Forest Preserve

Registration is closed

Join RVC President Bob Canace for the September "Hike of the Month" new connection between  White Lake and the Limestone Forest along the Ridge and Valley Trail. We will meet at 9:30 am at the main parking lot of White Lake and the hike will end at approx. 12:00 pm.

The 396-acre Limestone Forest  is a forested tract of land immediately south of the Paulinskill, and hosts various deciduous and evergreen species, dominated on the north by hemlocks. Large tulip poplars, successional black birch, and mature oak, hickory and maple trees are present.  A perennial stream flows within a deep ravine on the eastern end of the property.
